2016 Fall Premiere Week: Hits & Misses

Premiere week is the week in which most of the Fall shows debut.
This year, it seems like there are a lot more success stories than last year.
The new fall shows have been welcomed with open arms for the most part.
The issues appear to be surrounding the returning series.
We've compiled a list of the hits & misses from premiere week.
1. Hit: This Is Us

NBC's new drama was met with rave reviews and very strong ratings. The twist about how all of the characters were linked has the potential to send the ratings higher in Week 2.
2. Miss: Rosewood

Moving out of its pre-Empire slot, Rosewood took a huge hit. It registered series lows across the board. Will it even make it on the Winter schedule?
3. Hit: Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy remained as resilient as ever with the Season 13 premiere. It's hard to believe the show has been on for that long. The show premiered to its best ratings in 11 months. Will this show ever end?
4. Miss: Notorious

Notorious lost half of its Grey's Anatomy lead-in. That does not bode well for a show that's holding the fort until Scandal returns. The reviews weren't great, either.
5. Hit: Designated Survivor

Having a cast that boasts the likes of Kiefer Sutherland and Maggie Q can only mean good things for ratings. With live+3 ratings, Designated Survivor stands tall at 15.3 million viewers. Yikes.
6. Miss: Pitch

Fox's baseball drama failed to gain much traction out of Rosewood. Will the acclaimed series be able to buck the trend and soar in the ratings? Not likely.
