It's all come down to this! When Barry turned back time and saved the day, he just knew he had to try to get back, way back, to save his mother.
In The Flash Season 1 Episode 23, Eobard Thawne, now in the custody of STAR Labs, offers to Barry a life altering choice. With the help of Dr. Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond, it appears Barry's going to accept that challenge.
Of course, we know, JUST KNOW, that life changing choice is going to be the knowledge of how to go back in time to save his mother. What's in it for Eobard? Freedom? Redemption? The chance for his mistake to be erased completely? We'll have to watch to find out. For now...get your juices pumping!
1. Barry Allen on The Flash Finale
It has all come down to this for Barry Allen. This is a photo from "Fast Enough," the Season 1 finale of The Flash.
2. Father Son Chat - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Joe and Barry have what will likely be another amazing father son chat about what's next for Barry after kicking the Reverse Flash's ass. What CAN be next? That's the entirety of The Flash finale, I'm sure.
3. Casual Friday - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
It's nice seeing Joe out of uniform, but also a little jarring. It's so out of character that you know something extraordinary is about to take place. He's just never at STAR Labs looking like this.
4. Warm Hug - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
We're guessing at the timeline here, but it looks like these photos are right after the fight with Reverse Flash and Barry is being welcomed home, safe and sound.
5. Cisco's Turn - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Cisco takes a turn rubbing the magic genie. Hey, if you think about it, having a friend like Barry is about as magical as it's going to get. Taking the time to remember how important your friends are is always a good idea.
6. Still at It - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Yes, these have to be welcome back moments, because can you think of another time Eddie would be looking on at a moment like this between Barry and Iris with such warmth? Surely it's fleeting.
7. Entering the Accelerator - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Barry is going into the particle accelerator, which is probably where the man they knew as Harrison Wells, Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash is being contained. We have to assume he can be contained!
8. Ready? - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Barry prepares himself mentally to go into the containment cell. Darn if we aren't going to get any of the really good photos. The odds are all of these take place within about 5 minutes of the episode, so the guess in on for the good stuff.
9. Help is Here - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
It's hard to guess, really, why Dr. Stein has been called in, or when. Maybe he's helping Barry determine when and how to get BACK IN TIME to his mother? Shiver me timbers!!
10. Iris Watches On - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Iris is watching over Dr. Stein's shoulder. This is all new to her, if you recall, being in on the beginning of a plan as it takes shape.
11. Suit Off - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Guessing this photo is out of order and the Reverse Flash was just brought in and is ready to be taken into custody inside the containment cells. He's surely not going to wear this for long!
12. Is There an Apology? - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
In this moment, when Eobard is about to put his life into Cisco's hands, you have to wonder if he'll try to apologize to Cisco or whether he'll realize sticking with the truth makes more sense. The truth is he's already told Cisco how he felt straight out -- he likes him, loves him as much like a son as he can, but he's collateral damage when it comes down to it.
13. Gun Up! - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Joe doesn't trust Ray Palmer's nanites to hold Eobard Thawne and his Reverse Flash suit at bay for too long and wisely raises his gun. Cynicism rules!
14. The Tube - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
It looks like Ronnie is working on Eobard's tube. If that's the case, it answers our questions about why the particle accelerator didn't blow up in the last episode and also what timeline we're looking at...36 hours at the very most from the time we last saw it.
15. Ronnie at Work - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
It's nice to see Ronnie working alongside the team and with Cold and Stein going to DC's (insert title I'll never remember here) doesn't it seem possible he'll become a more permanent fixture on The Flash? Thumbs up!
16. Game Anyone? - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
This is a nifty gadget...is it Gideon? Why am I not placing it as anything other than something that looks like an old fashioned game from an amusement park arcade?
17. Strategizing - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
Barry, Cisco and Ronnie are probably plotting their next move in great detail. That IS Barry going back in time to save his mother, right, and how to get back? Getting back is what worries me!
18. Lonely - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
You have to wonder if this was ever a possibility in the back of Eobard's mind when he was OKing the plans for the containment cells. Was his ego just too big to imagine it happening to him?
19. Back in Time - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
If this isn't Barry's street, I'll eat my hat. THIS IS ALL WE'RE GOING TO GET?? Oh my goodness it's going to be a loooong week until we see what Barry does on the street. Please oh please let a lot of the hour be spent back there!
20. Determination - The Flash Season 1 Episode 23
