Joseph Morgan is from London, England and studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in his late teens.
He has been in many different television productions, including Hex, The Line of Beauty, Silent Witness, Doc Martin, Casualty, and Ben Hur. He is currently part of the Main Cast in The Vampire Diaries.
