Paul Adelstein News

Born on April 29, 1969, Paul Adelstein is a Jewish-American TV and film actor, most famous for the role of Agent Paul Kellerman in the hit television series, Prison Break.

Adelstein was born and raised in Chicago, and, prior to his acting career, he attended Bowdoin College, graduaing Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a degree in English.

Paul began his professional acting career in theatre, working with New Crime Productions, a company founded by John Cusack, and later with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

Making his film debut in 1990 in The Grifters, which also starred Cusack, Adelstein's next film appearance was in a 1997 film called Peoria Babylon, which starred Ann Cusack.

He then went on to appear in several television series which include Cupid, ER, Without a Trace and Scrubs. In 2003, he portrayed a character (Steven Kellerman) in the Law & Order: SVU episode, "Mercy," whose last name was the same as a character he later played on Prison Break.

In 2007, Paul was given the role of Cooper in the series Private Practice, the spin-off of the award-winning "dramedy," Grey's Anatomy.

Adelstein's wife is actress Liza Weil, who plays Paris Geller on Gilmore Girls. They married in November 2006. Adelstein is also lead singer and guitarist of a band called Doris.
