Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer: The Great War Is Here

Game of Thrones Season 7 is still almost two months away, but the fine folks at HBO have dropped the full trailer for the new season. 

It looks spectacular. We pick up with Cersei commenting on the multitude if villains who are coming after her, before vowing to defeat whoever stands in her way. 

We then get to hear Daenerys Targaryen claiming she will rule the Seven Kingdoms. Considering she has a dragon on her side, we're willing to bet she's going to put up a good fight. 

However, this is Game of Thrones, and we will probably have the rug pulled from under us. Could you imagine if Daenerys somehow sided with Cersei?

That would be an exhilarating twist. 

The final portion of the trailer shows a huge battle, with Drogon rising over the battlefield, and, boy, he's huge. The producers were not exaggerating when they said he was going to be bigger than we could ever imagine. 

Other key takeaways from the trailer:

• Arya is still on her mission to avenge everyone who has wronged her, so we don't know for sure if she will meet the remainder of her family on Season 7. 

• Jon Snow says, "The Great War is here." Does this mean he's going against the Night King? If you recall, HBO released a digital picture with Jon's reflection glinting in his eye. 

• Yara gets up close and personal with Ellaria Sand. What the heck is going on?

• Melisandre and Davos appear to be making a short-term alliance to win the war.
