Schitt's Creek Promo: Can Johnny Save Christmas?

Christmas in Schitt's Creek is not the same for the Rose family. 

The family lost everything, and the only other option they had was to move to a town the patriarch purchased as a joke. 

If you've never watched Schitt's Creek, we don't blame you. Many had not heard of the series before it started to achieve global recognition this year. 

Pop TV is pressing forward with a holiday-themed special, and it will air December 19 at 10/9c. 

The official teaser for the episode shows that Moira (Catherine O'Hara) is no longer fond of the holidays. 

That's sort of what happens you become accustomed to champagne-filled parties that have more than one celebrity guests in the most lavish of establishments. 

Without the means to support such a big party, and her reputation not being what it once was, Moira just wants to sleep the holidays away. 

For Johnny (Eugene Levy), this is a big no-no, and he sets out to prove to his family that they can have some holiday cheer, and throw a party that they will actually enjoy. 

Full disclosure: I was late to the Schitt's Creek party, but after binging the first four seasons, it's not difficult to see why viewers are raving about the show. 

It's one of the best comedies on all of TV. There, I said it. 

The good thing about the holiday episode is that we're going to also take a trip back to the family hosting a Christmas party before their finances went south, and well, there are a lot of parallels.
