The Mist: Meet Feisty Mama Bear Eve Copeland

We're counting down the days until we get to see the new adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist on Spike.

Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings) is the first to tackle a profile on her character, Eve Copeland.

According to Sutherland, Eve is feisty and protective. She may have suffered from lingering, small-town attitudes and will do anything to ensure her daughter, Alex, doesn't face the same fate.

By watching the character profile below, it's easy to imagine Eve had some boy trouble back in the day as she's not too pleased about the Badger's hottie, Jay, making eyes at Alex.

How far will the apple fall from the tree?

Well, it appears to depend on The Mist.

One moment, Eve is assuring Badger Jay what will happen to his many striking parts should he lay hands on her daughter.

But the character profile is cut to tease us into thinking that after the mist rolls in and begins messing with the minds of all the residents of the small town, Eve does a bad, bad thing.

And that bad, bad thing could be done to Badger Jay!

Oh, say it isn't so! Poor Alex would be devastated!

I don't know about you, but the casting for The Mist feels a lot like the French series Les Revenants (The Returned), and that's a compliment. The people are attractive with a sense of disquiet together in one group.

The thumping bass of the soundtrack and the way it's filmed only adds to the sensation.
