Myfanwy Thomas’ life is about to get a very crazy.
Starz has dropped the first official trailer for The Rook, a brand new supernatural drama starring Emma Greenwell as a young woman whose life is plunged into chaos when she awakens in London with no recollection of who she is or how she got there.
More worrying, a string of dead bodies surround her and she no idea how they got there.
Things get worse when she learns that she works for Checquy, Britain’s last truly secret service for people with paranormal abilities, Myfanwy “will have to navigate the dangerous and complex world of the agency to uncover who wiped her memory — and why she is a target,” according to the official logline.
Olivia Munn (The Newsroom), Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck) and James D’Arcy (Agent Carter) are also part of the show's cast, while Lisa Zwerling (ER) and Karyn Usher (Bones) on board as co-showrunners.
Starz has also announced a premiere date for the new series, and it's coming June 30.
Additionally, a poster for the series has Myfanwy front and center in an electrically charged still.
"Awaken the power within," is plastered across the key art.
The teaser shows off a lot of scenes, and in all honesty, the show looks more like a movie than a TV show.
The production values alone look insane.
Alas, have a look at the full teaser below and join me in the comments with your thoughts on it.
Will you give it a shot?
