Watchmen: HBO Drops Super First Trailer at Comic-Con!

HBO dropped the full trailer for Watchmen at Comic-Con, and boy, the show is poised to be another huge hit for the premium cabler.

This new series is based on Alan Moore and David Gibbons' graphic novel, and executive produced by Lost's Damon Lindelof.

HBO’s adaptation is “set in an alternate history where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws.” The limited series promises to embrace the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.

The cast includes Jean Smart (as Agent Blake) and Jeremy Irons (Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias) Don Johnson, Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.

The series is shrouded in secrecy, meaning that we actually know very little beyond the plot, but the new trailer certainly helps shed light on what's about to go down.

A striking aspect of the trailer is that the police officers have decided that covering their faces is the best course of action.

“You know how you can tell the difference between a masked cop and a vigilante?” FBI Agent Blake asks during the trailer. “Me, neither.”

Okay then!
