Suits Season 6 Episode 15 Review: Quid Pro Quo

Will Louis be able to get back on Tara's good side?

That's certainly one of the bigger questions after Suits Season 6 Episode 15. Louis did not want his relationship to be full of secrets because that does not make for a rock-solid foundation.

Let's Talk - Suits

It was perfectly understandable that he would want to come clean, but I don't think his chat with Rachel was worthwhile. Louis has been with Tara for, like, five minutes.

Rachel and Mike's relationship had been going on for considerably longer, so whatever Rachel said was never going to mirror the outcome she got.

Louis and Tara rushed together and that's probably why their relationship is more likely to implode than others. They don't know much about each other, and that's not a good thing.

Tara was completely right to storm off after Louis called her out for being with two men at once. The difference here is that Tara was upfront and honest about it, while Louis is dropping these bombs months into their relationship.

The relationship between Louis and Tara has been intriguing. It's successfully shown us another side of Louis, but now, it could all be over due to helping Mike.

Will These Two Ever Get Together? - Suits

All roads lead to Mike on this show, and it's getting pretty tiring.

With that in mind, there were some exciting moments for Mike tonight. I liked that he knew the right thing to do was go after the hefty payday for the miners.

Mike has come across as a selfish ass recently, but this showed he still has a heart. If he got into the bar at the expense of the payout for the miners, I would have been done with the show.

Harvey needs to stop trying to do everything and anything to get Mike back in the land of law. Bringing Rachel in was a step too far, and he should have known that.

Harvey has been a lawyer for so many years that he really should know better. It's understandable that Harvey feels a sense of responsibility for Mike's predicament because he was the one who hired him in the first place.

All the Season 1 Feels - Suits

With Mike getting into the bar, hopefully, that signals the end of this storyline because it's not been all that. All we need now is for Anita Gibbs to show up and try to get Mike sent back to prison.

With one episode left this season, I find it difficult to believe that it was going to be that easy to end all of it. I can't be the only one who was glad to see the smug look wiped from Palmer's face when Mike and Harvey ambushed him.

This is the guy who did not give a damn that he put all of those lives at risk and seemed to think he could get away with it by having them all sign NDAs.

You would think he would have the tiniest shred of sorrow for what he did, but nope, he did not care in the slightest about it. That's why it was so amazing when he was told to pay the $200 million.

You can't put a price on life, so I still don't think this was the best comeuppance for him. He deserves a lengthy stint on the inside, without ever getting to see the light of day again.

The other main plot centered on The Donna, and it was tedious. I mean, Donna is comical and knows how to effortlessly get the attention she needs to plead her cause.

However, that boardroom scene with her and Benjamin pitching the Donna was cringe worthy. There's only so far charm can get one person, and I think Donna's luck is beginning to run out.

Donna has some funny scenes with Benjamin, but that's all it should be. Bringing this prototype into the mix and the pair joining forces to bring it to a broad market is a little too forced for my liking.

Can you imagine the outrage if it came out that Benjamin was recording all of Donna's reactions? Pretty sure that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Good thing they both work at Pearson Specter Litt.

It was nice to get to meet Stew again, but it just served to add to the mediocrity of this subplot. I'm all for giving Benjamin a more prominent role on the series, but this is not the way to go.

This is not the way things should be playing out, and I hope things improve on Suits Season 7.

"Quid Pro Quo" marked the first time I felt like the show is struggling creatively with Jessica out of the mix. Had Jessica been present, that class action lawsuit would not even be a thing.

With one episode left, it would be good if we closed Suits Season 6 on a high. This will involve some character-driven drama and not some second-rate storyline you would expect from a direct-to-DVD movie.

Suits Season 6 Episode 15 Quotes

Donna: Benjamin, The Donna’s ready.
Benjamin: What do you mean?
Donna: I mean, five minutes ago she expressed empathy.

Harvey, that’s enough. You promised Rachel you would pull the plug if things got too risky. Well, they just got too damn risky.
