Prison Break Season 5 Episode 8 Review: Progeny

at .

Jacob is not ready to play nice with Michael...or anyone for that matter.

We got further insight into Michael's complicated history with the villain on Prison Break Season 5 Episode 8, and it was needed.

Getting to see Michael in such a fragile state as he's hauled into yet another conspiracy was just heartbreaking.

Brothers Unite - Prison Break Season 5 Episode 8

The thing that made all of this sadder was that Jacob subsequently got together with Sara. I mean, what the heck? He's a calculating, sociopathic D-Bag, and I can't wait until Michael takes him out.

The revelation that Jacob had been putting the origami in the drain below the post box made me want to yell at the TV. Poor Michael. He was clearly making those things for years, and they were never making it to the right person.

Are we to assume Jacob specifically chose a house for him and Sara that would allow him to get rid of mail in that way? Jacob did warn Michael that he would know if he was making a plan to escape.

I was floored by the reveal that Sara was not actually in the house. I was so sure she was going to be in a fragile state or even dead.

Making His Way Home - Prison Break

If she were dead, it would have been alright, you guys. Prison Break might as well be a supernatural series when you consider the sheer amount of people who have miraculously returned from the beyond.

Regardless of the several eye-roll moments, the show is still a whole lot of fun, and I can't believe we have just one episode left. Where has all the time gone?

Let's talk about that T-Bag and Whip connection. I was confused about what the hell Michael was up to by sending Whip and T-Bag to the same place.

My gut was telling me Michael was having T-Bag murdered in brutal fashion. There's nothing quite like buying a reformed serial killer a prosthetic hand and then telling him to start killing again.

Hilarity aside, Michael was actually reuniting a father and son. I mean, it came out of nowhere, but it was a decent way to wrap up that storyline, I guess.

Whip has been an intriguing character throughout the course of this revival series. He deserved to get the answers he needed, but I'm not so sure Whip will react well to be dragged into this sick game of cat and mouse.

Might he turn on Michael at some point? It's certainly something that could happen.

I'm struggling to ship Lincoln and Sheba without getting all of the details on Sofia. It was great that Sheba wanted to help out as much as she could. It was evident that she liked Lincoln a lot and held him somewhat responsible for helping her and family out of Yemen. I don't see her forgetting that soon.

However, Sheba needs to stay away for as long as this mission takes to complete. Having significant others gives the villains a lot more leverage.

I was not a fan of the way Lincoln was shot. The chances of ending this revival series with significant deaths are pretty much non-existent.

I don't see any scenario in which Michael, Lincoln, and Sara do not make it out alive. Though, I would like to know where Jacob is keeping Sara. Please don't say his parents are part of all of the drama. That would be a twist too far.

"Progeny" was another solid episode of this Fox drama series. The stage is now set for the show to disappear back into the TV ether.

Unlike some other revivals, Prison Break has been worth it. I was on the fence with Prison Break Season 5 Episode 1, but every other episode this season has had me on the edge of my seat.

Now is the best time to end it, so please, Fox, don't bring it back with a new cast.
