On Chance Season 2 Episode 7 many pressing questions from the season are answered in what may be the most exciting hour of the show so far.

Unfortunately the two bullets that Frank planted in Hynes at the end of Chance Season 2 Episode 6 did take him out. It says a lot that Hynes death is only a blip on the radar of revelations this hour.

In a series of flashbacks viewers learn just how involved Frank has been in Winter's life of killing. As it turns out: very. 

All the way back to their teenage years shoving rocks down Stevie's throat, it seems that Frank's mastermind and Winter's bloodlust mesh together to create the perfect murderous duo.

I wasn't shocked to find out Frank was a little dirty, but I never could have predicted that he was just as dark and twisted as Winter.

It almost made me feel a little bit bad for young Matty Webb -- a clearly disturbed kid who had been traumatized by his mother and embraced violence with Frank's encouragement instead of getting the psychiatric treatment he desperately needed.

Those that are good must suffer the same as those who are bad. He has to suffer. Like I have.

Winter

Frank's knowledge of the law and ability to spin a story seems to be what's been keeping Winter from getting caught all of these years. He certainly feels a sense of superiority over Winter, telling him what he can and can't do, and manipulating every situation for his own benefit.

Although, Winter isn't totally afraid to break the rules that Frank puts in place...

All of the blame can't be taken off of Winter, of course. He's still responsible for countless murders, and does't seemed bothered by adding Lyndsay to the list.

As convincing as Winter's trust in Chance is, he still goes as far as to apologize for killing Hynes -- the one murder he didn't commit. There's certainly still an element of strategy to everything that Winter does.

When Frank reveals to Winter how closely Chance and Hynes were working together to bring him down, Ryan commits to making Chance suffer just as he has.

[Chance] is a good person. He's fucking crazy, but he's always been there for me. Maybe not exactly when I though he should be, I guess. But times that it turned out to actually matter, looking back. Before I left to have Willow, I never saw it. But going away and being back now, I can't believe that I didn't. The burnout. The weight on him. How he hears and sees what he hears and sees everyday, and then he has to just go back to living in the world. I don't want to give him anything else bad to think about. I don't want to weigh on him. I won't.

Lucy

It seems his strategy for doing so is to go after Lucy -- although I'm convinced he was already targeting her anyway. In fact, I was sure that Winter was going to kill Lucy when he attacked her with the knife. She's such a beloved character, but after Hynes' abrupt death, I wouldn't put it past the show.

It was thrilling to see her escape from him. Although I'm sure it has something to do with having her baby with her, I still think Lucy is a pretty tough chick. It will be heartbreaking, but interesting, to see how she adjusts to being a victim so similar to the people she works with everyday.

Speaking of badass girls, Nicole gets a real taste of the dark side when she spends a night at a juvenile detention center. Even after getting beat up by a fellow inmate she holds her head high, and does self defense training with D even though she's terrified to go back to Juvie.

Dr. Clayton's defense of Nicole in court was sweet and unexpected. Although I think it would have been an cool twist to see Nicole serve time, but the conflict between her and her mother escalated enough fill the drama quota.

Christina: I feel like we don't eat as well as we should. Maybe. I don't know. Feel like if we put good stuff in, we'd feel better.
Nicole: No, for sure. If I ate more organic food, no way I would have assaulted Pepper.

At first I totally understood Christina's fury at Chance for not telling her about his past. Her entire marriage was basically a lie -- that's frightening. I also can accept her desire to put distance between Nicole and her father because of his negative influence.

However, it seemed extremely over-the-top to send Nicole off to wherever she's going with whoever it was that dragged her out of bed in the middle of the night.

Sure, Christina is terrified for the path that her daughter has been headed down, but to go as far as bringing strangers into her home to tie her daughter up and take away as she screams and pleads for help is cold. And it was tragic to watch.

Dr. Clayton saw enough good in Nicole to save her from going to jail -- how does Christina think that wherever's she's sent her now will be better?

D: Perception is reality. And perception is formed right off the bat. You have to figure out who to impress and who to knock off.
N. How?
D: By paying attention. Who are people afraid of? Who's the enforcer? Who's sitting together at meals? And if you're ever in doubt about if somebody wants to hurt you, hurt them first.

Not only did she have time to show up for Nicole, but Dr. C has also been busy digging into the attacks on the people related to her patients.

In fact, one of them has aided a sketch artist in forming a portrait of D and relayed to Kirsten that the person who attacked him knew specific information about his background that was confidential to the office.

Clayton is a smart cookie and she's sure to put two and two together. Chance and D's hit list from earlier this season has definitely taken a backseat, but if Clayton confronts Chance about this in any serious way it could have catastrophic repercussions for him.

But it's not Chance that should be the most worried about being caught for his crimes -- it's Frank.

At the end of "Define Normal" a bomb was dropped on viewers that after his failed attack on Lucy, Winter has officially gone to the police and confessed to all of the murders he's committed.

This is an exciting turn of events as Chance and D might finally get to see Hynes' wish through and put Winter behind bars for good. The new question is will they be able to figure out that Frank is involved, or will his anger at Winter give him away?

I think I enjoyed this episode so greatly because it did give us answers we were looking for but still left us with plenty of cliffhangers.
