Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21 Review: Trashy Little Tramp

at .

Oh, mother! Oh, brother! Oh, Matthew!

My head is spinning from all of the revelations on Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21!

There is so much to unpack as we creep towards the Dynasty Season 1 finale, I don't even know where to start.

Everyone, This Is Adam - Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21

Let's talk about all the new Carrington family members coming for a piece of Blake's pie.

Not only did Alexis bring Adam Carrington -- who, just as we believed, is a complete fraud -- into the fold, she also brought Jeff and Monica Colby.

Remember when Alexis told Jeff that he's actually a Carrington on Dynasty Season 1 Episode 20? Well, she wasn't lying.

Their grandmother confirmed that she did, in fact, have an affair with Thomas Carrington which would make Jeff's mother, Millie, half a Carrington.

This makes me despise "racist Thomas" even more than I already did. What a hypocrite.

Is it selfish that I want to meet Millie as soon as possible? Did she know beforehand? Was she ashamed of it? Or was she so in the dark, she actually had an affair with Blake without knowing he was her half-brother?

This is not how I want to spend one of my last night's on the town as a single man. I want it to be bad and boujee, not sad and douchey.

Sammy

On a brighter note, Jeff's situation isn't as grim as we thought; sleeping with a half cousin is substantially better than sleeping with your sister.

And the cherry on top is that they are now entitled to shares from Thomas' will! Cha-ching.

Also getting some moola from the will? Adam!

The Biggest Threat - Dynasty

The alleged first-born Carrington was initially met with hesitation from Blake but by the end, they were bear-hugging and catching up on all the things they'd missed. Sweet... on the surface.

From the get-go, both Blake and I both assumed that Adam was a fraud who was simply using the situation to extort money.

And well, that still stands true by the end of this episode, although, it's a bit more complicated than that.

You have to admit, he was way to eager to get involved in all the family events! Most people would be freaked out by the change even if they've been dreaming about it their whole loves but nope, not Adam.

Blake rejected Adam at first because he boasted all ten fingers. But when Adam threw a punch to defend Sammy Jo's "gayness" during the bachelor party and his finger came flying off he revealed the missing finger that the kidnappers cut off, and Blake was sold.

But alas, that was all part of Alexis' plan. The finger was a tool to convince Blake that Adam was really his kidnapped son so that Alexis could pull off her plan to take the company from Blake who she deemed unfit to run.

She claims to be doing it for the children but man, it's hard to root for her when she's this twisted.

Also, knowing that Hank/Adam isn't her actual son didn't stop me from cringing when they hooked up.

I don't think I'd be that open about my dalliance with the man claiming to be my son especially when everyone just barges in without regard for personal space.

She's bound to get caught up in the lie.

And what about that DNA test? Will Steven just throw it out since the prosthetic finger squashed everyone's doubts?

Alexis isn't the only one scheming to undermine Blake -- Fallon has also aligned herself with Culhane to snag the title of CEO from Blake.

The phrase "like mother, like daughter," never rang truer.

Blake has a blind-spot when it comes to Fallon so she's really positioned herself well. If she's able to convince the board that Blake refuses to fess up to the damage CA has done in Clark County especially as the substantial evidence mounts against him, they'll likely be convinced to vote him out.

I Choose You - Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21

Honestly, it's a pretty terrible time to be Blake. But man, he had it coming.

Everyone on this show has ulterior motives but Blake takes the cake; he's racked up an impressive list of enemies because he's downright awful to everyone.

And he doesn't care about the people he's wronged. As long as Blake is fine, that's all that matters.

Usually, when marriages go sideways, the obvious decision is to part ways and divorce.  But nope, not rich people.

I swear, this family has more secrets than Trump's mistress.

Fallon

In Blake's world, a divorce would prove that he lied about Cristal stepping down from CA to focus on family (he did) and that, in turn, would prove that he lied about not being involved in Clarke Country (again, he did).

Instead, his solution is to blackmail Cristal into staying in this marriage. The worst part is that it's wise on Blake's part; they always say that you should keep your enemies close.

Sorry, Cristal -- you should have known what you were getting into when you agreed to marry him. At least you'll always have the mansion!

Buying a Condo - Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21

The scene of the joyous family reunion, complete with champagne toast, was so symbolic as Cristal stood secluded from the whole family and Fallon chose to walk away from them.

The minute I saw the "previously on" teasers show flashbacks of what happened to Matthew Blaisdell, I knew that the "he never died" reveal was imminent.

If he was to be killed off in Dynasty Season 1 Episode 1, they would have never cast such a known actor for the role.

Plus, folks not actually being dead is a classic soap opera twist.

More surprising than Matthew's return was that Claudia knew he was alive all along. It's possible that everything she pulled off while living with the Carrington family was part of a bigger ploy with her husband.

Monica: That also means that Fallon is our cousin.
Jeff: Half cousin.
Monica: I hope you slept with the right half then.

I'm going to say that he wants to get revenge on Blake, as does every person in Atlanta, but the difference is that he actually has the evidence to prove his wrongdoings and take him down.

Which family member is he going to align with? Fallon? Jeff? Cristal?

It dawned on me that Claudia is still a little "off" and committed, so Matthew could very well be a hallucination. Though, I don't think that's the case because that wouldn't do us much good.

Hello, Claudia - Dynasty Season 1 Episode 21

Hey, at least she never lied about being pregnant!

What is Matthew planning on doing? Did he ever love even Cristal? Will Cristal be the one to foil Alexis' plans and fall into Blake's good graces?

Will Steven and Sammy Jo's wedding even happen? I'm a little disappointed that their bachelor party didn't get enough love and was completely overshadowed by Adam. Rude, dude.

And since Adam isn't actually Adam, will the real Adam Carrington please stand up? Is he even alive? Is it Fallon's ex-husband? Because every bone in my body is telling me that it is Liam Ridley. And that would just add another cringe-worthy and incesty layer to this already dysfunctional family.

What are your thoughts about everything that transpired?
