The Brave and Taken Canceled at NBC!
Paul Dailly at .NBC has swung the ax on two beloved drama series.
The Brave and Taken have been canceled by the peacock network.
The Brave launched last fall with a solid lead-in from The Voice, but the series launch secured a soft 1.3 rating among adults 18-49.
The ratings continued to dip throughout the rest of the season, and The Brave Season 1 ultimately averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49.
Despite substantial gains with DVR factored in, the series will not return for a second season.

Meanwhile, Taken's cancellation is unsurprising. Taken Season 2 is averaging just 2.8 million viewers and a 0.4 rating on Friday nights.
Despite a major revamp, these figures are off almost 60 percent from this time last year. NBC recently pulled the show from the schedule.
The two series mark NBC's first cancellations of the season. The Blacklist, Timeless, Rise, Great News, and Champions are still awaiting confirmation of whether they will continue.
