The story is not over for David Haller quite yet.
FX has placed an order for a third season of the trippy sci-fi drama, set to air in 2019.
“Legion has redefined the superhero drama and exceeded all expectations as the intensity and revelation build through the second season,” FX original programming president Eric Schrier said in a statement.
“We are incredibly proud of Noah Hawley’s achievement and are honored to continue the series as it pushes the boundaries of conventional television storytelling," he continued.
We are also grateful for the contributions of our executive producers, John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Jeph Loeb with Marvel Television, as well as our outstanding cast and crew of this groundbreaking show.”
Legion focuses on Haller as he attempts to get to grips with the powers while trying to make sense of the new normal for him.
We think it's fair to say you know it's been a tough and rocky road for him, but it's been thrilling to watch this journey on a weekly basis.
The show remains solid in delayed viewing, with strong gains and continues to be a hit with critics.
There are still two episodes this season, with the finale scheduled to air Tuesday, June 12 at 10/9c.
