Thunder does a route search for Jennifer, but she can't find her sister.

Gisele Cutter wakes up in the bushes outside of the barn. She frees herself from the restraints.

Jennifer and Khalil find shelter in his "apartment." It's an abandonded train cart that's been refurbished. Jennifer finds the art he drew of her.

Lynn deduces that Jennifer might be hiding out at Khalil's place that no one knows about. She promises not to do any investigations on her own.

Jennifer accepts her necklace back from Khalil. She isn't ready to lose her virginity with Khalil; she wants it to be special. Khalil will wait for her.

Jennifer wants to leave the States and go abroad. She wants them to learn some new languages while on the run.

Lynn joins Gambi, Anissa, and Jefferson in their search for Jennifer and Khalil. She arms herself with a gun. They're investigation abandoned factories on their own.

Tobias wines and dines his new scientific protege, Todd. He needs Todd's help to break into the briefcase. Cutter calls and needs Tobias' help to determine Khalil's last few locations.

The group searches through the factories looking for the couple. Black Lightning stops a fight progress. Lynn ends up at the train station and makes a plea in the darkness for Jennifer to come home.

Jennifer has second thoughts about the pair going on the run; she wants them to stop. Khalil changes his mind and wants Jennifer to go back home.

The Pierces return home to find Jennifer and Khalil.

Tobias has used the briefcase to discover information about properties and politicians. Tobias needs Todd's help to unlock more secrets from the briefcase, and how it connects to metahumans. Todd gives Cutter more deetails of Khalil's last known locations.

Khalil deduces that Jefferson is Black Lightning.

Jefferson wants Khalil to turn himself into the police so that they'll take down Tobias. Khalil agrees.

Jefferson asks Henderson for help with the Khalil situation. He'll help Khalil see his mother before he's taken away to get his confession.

Anissa asks Jennifer if she hooked up with Khalil.

Tobias is aware of Khalil being taken for Witness Protection. He gets Todd to inform Cutter.

Jennifer has tearful goodbye with Khalil. Khalil says goodbye to his mother surrounded by apolice escort, Thunder, and Black Lightning.

Cutter interrupts Khalil's transport and kills one of the guards. Henderson connects Black Lightning to come investigate what happened.

All of the guards and detectives on the transport were murdered. Khalil is missing from the vehicle.

Jennifer breaks down after Lynn tells her what happened to Khalil.

Tobias won't hold it against Jennifer for running away with Khalil. Tobias rips out Khalil's mechanical spine. Cutter and Todd drop him in front of the church with his spine.

Todd breaks into the briefcase and discovers the truth of the metahumans. Four of the metahumans were experimented as "M.O.D." and their vitals were still active in the briefcase.
