When Shelby is on the brink of opening her cabaret, her director quits. In an attempt to save her show, she enlists Brick to help her find a replacement. Set on getting Shelby out of his life, he gets Zoe to help her direct the show in order to crash it. When Joel gets wind of Brick's plans he helps Zoe make a decent show. Brick confesses to Shelby that she is ruining his life but should stop resisting her. They kiss and get back together.

Annabeth helps Lavon get his mojo back and help him fight for Bluebell. They run into the Mayor's sister and convince her that Bluebell is worth saving.

Lynly, George, Tansy, and Scooter all go for a hike to put their awkward feelings behind them. Lynly feels as if Tansy is going is to steal George away, Tansy thinks that Lynly has crazy eyes. In the end, George ends ups hanging out with Tansy while Lynly sleeps and she is worried she is going to lose George.
