Law & Order: SVU Season 18 Episode 18 is about a woman who appeared to have been hypnotized to be unable to resist sex.

After attending a retreat with a popular New Age meditation guru, Abby Clarke claims she was raped. She says that she was given water and then found herself paralyzed and unable to move when her clothes were removed. She says the leader, Declan Trask, did this. When Trask is questioned, however, he says the sex was consensual.

The case is complicated by the fact that Abby's drug test comes back negative. The detectives think maybe the drug left her system before the test, but Barba has another theory: she was hypnotized. Investigating Trask leads to another woman who claimed something similar happened to her. The woman is dead but her attorney has video testimony of her experience.

Eventually, the detectives get the evidence they need to arrest Trask, but at trial he claims the sex was consensual and that Abby came to the retreat planning to cheat on her boyfriend. The defense also provides a recording that makes the encounter seem consensual. Without a miracle, Barba may not be able to prove his case.
