The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 2 takes place almost three months after the stabbing. Lim returns to work in her wheelchair, where she thanks Shaun for saving her life. Jordan, however, whispers to Asher that Shaun caused Lim to be paralyzed.

Shaun and Park are assigned new residents. Shaun's resident, Powell, has to help with a heart transplant. When the donor heart appears to be damaged, Shaun comes up with a new idea: give him a pig heart. However, Powell refuses to assist, saying that she believes it is immoral to use animals for medical purposes. Shaun says that refusing to listen to an attending is grounds for termination, but Powell won't be swayed by this.

Shaun tries to ask Andrews for help but Andrews says since Shaun is an attending, it's his decision to make. Glassman says Shaun is defiant too and caused Lim's paralysis. Finally, Lim tells Shaun not to fire a resident for not being a good doctor on her first day.

Meanwhile, Jordan and the other new resident, Perez, work with a homeless-looking guy who is a hoarder and doesn't want people in his business. He does, however, need a mass removed from his neck.
