Chidi relives his life when Michael attempts to give him his memories back in the right order.

When his parents argue, he gives them a presentation and convinces them not to get a divorce. Chidi is convinced that every problem has an answer, which leads him down the road of indecisiveness. 

Chidi's life flashes forward to when his girlfriend breaks up with him. He drops a fork in the garbage disposal. 

Professor Radja tells Chidi that his papers are missing heart. 

After Chidi dies, Michael shows him around the "Good Place." Chidi has a heart-to-heart with Jason. 

Chidi has a different soulmate during every Good Place reboot. 

Eleanor asks him for help with philosophy, and she kisses him after they're done studying. 

Chidi continues to have flashbacks of Eleanor. 

Before Chidi volunteers to have his memories erased, he asks Michael if soulmates exist. He tells him he doesn't know.

Chidi realizes that not every problem has an answer and you have to take every day one step at a time. He writes something down and asks Janet to give it back to him if they ever meet again. 

Chidi snaps back to the present. Janet gives him his note which says, "There is no answer. But Eleanor is the answer."
