This week, Mindy fought the law and the law may have won her heart.

Just when things were getting back to normal between her and Danny, an officer who was not such a gentleman walked into her life. Mindy began the episode by swearing off guys, but jaywalked her way into the affections of a guy.

Tim Daly guest starred as the overly protective father of Jenny on The Mindy Project Season 2 Episode 20.  When the former Private Practice star first appeared at Mindy's practice, he seemed to recognize Beverly. It was revealed no one actually knows her last name. Perhaps a hint at something further to come with her story. 

The whole premise of Jenny moving in to stay with Mindy was a bit far-fetched, but Mindy's advice to her was very telling about the kind of woman she is.

The only downside of being a woman who can make her own decisions is that you have to make good decisions.

It was good to see Mindy and Danny getting along again. Mindy put aside her resentment to share her problems with him and poke fun at his lack of understanding when it came to women's undergarments.

Danny and Sally have become an item, though, much to the continued disapproval of Peter.

Danny: Hey Pete I gotta ask you something.
Peter: What is that I hear? The ga-ga-ga-ghost of someone who's dead to me?

Still, as the practice's resident son of Abe-bro-ham, he agreed to accompany Danny to dinner at the rabbi's house. Danny wanted him there for support. To make sure he didn't mix up his schlemiels and schelmazels as he put it, in a nice Laverne and Shirley reference.

The rabbi's son didn't find the affi koman, but he did discover a personal truth about Peter that was not so kosher.

The "lying goy and the Jew with the baggy schmeckel" made quite the pair, didn't they?

Pretty impressive of the rabbi to spot the chemistry between Danny and Mindy from across the crowded subway car, but it was definitely there. As the episode came to close, Danny looked like he was going to break up with Sally, but Mindy has found a new man for the moment.
