Guys, I don't know about you, but I'm a sucker for this cutesy stuff. 

And Supergirl Season 2 Episode 13 was pure cheesy, silly, romantic, vomit-inducing, overly adorable, fluff. 

Sure, it wasn't one of the most action-packed installments, but did I love it anyway? You betcha. 

It would have made a lot more sense for it to air last week, but that's beside the point. 

So I am assuming Mxyzptlk only has one name, which is probably a good thing because really, who needs a last name (or first name?) when you've got that. He's like Madonna or Cher; no one is going to confuse him with another Mxyzptlk. 

He also does not like taking no for an answer, but like the Genie from Aladdin, he can't make Kara fall in love with him. Or drink orange juice for some reason.

By the way, I loved that Kara was drinking orange juice in the Fortress of Solitude, but I digress. 

This guy started out looking like mostly a nuisance, but it quickly became evident he was more dangerous than he appeared. It didn't help matters that Kara and Mon-El were at odds on how to handle the situation. 

Okay, Mon-El, the first rule of being on Team Supergirl is she doesn't kill people. Suggesting that is only going to get you sent to the doghouse.

Thank you, Kara, for calling him out on his jealousy and his "infuriating male ego." I don't know what was worse for him, getting shot down by Kara, or being caught in the middle of the DEO in his underwear.

That was the most fun trick Mxy pulled, am I right? 

I know there's been a lot of disagreement on whether or not Mon-El and Kara have chemistry. Personally, I've always seen it, but no more so than when they were arguing at the DEO, and then, of course, when they FINALLY made up. 

Watching them argue in the middle of the DEO, though, was just so funny and adorable, and I was sure they were made for each other. 

Mon-El: I get that you were upset that I wasn't listening to you. I tried really, really, really hard to listen to you this time. And I heard that you don't think that we belong together, and I respected that.
Kara: No, but Mxy wasn't the only one I tricked. I didn't mean it. I just said it so you'd let me go, to protect you.

The question is, how long will we get to enjoy them as a couple before it all comes crashing down? 

Because it will come crashing down. 

Let's not forget Mon-El is hiding something pretty big from Kara. It's going to come out eventually, and then what? My guess is it is going to put a wrench in the new relationship. 

It's just a matter of time before those alien bounty hunters catch up to him and everything is revealed. Here's hoping they can work it out and get past it, but I don't think it will be easy. 

The whole "one half of the couple hates Valentine's Day" thing is a little cliche, but that didn't make Maggie's surprise prom any less adorable. 

At least there was a real reason why she hated it and not just the typical "because it's Hallmarky" excuse. 

I would never have guessed that Maggie had lied about her coming out story. It's heartbreaking that her parents didn't accept her and she had to live with her aunt for three years.

I hope we get to dive more into her past. She's an interesting character, and she deserves to be more than just Alex's girlfriend. She needs to be fleshed out and get a storyline of her own. 

I'm curious now if she ever made up with her family. Perhaps that will be addressed down the road. 

But, luckily Maggie was able to move past her tragic Valentine's Day experience and make new, happier memories with Alex. 

Maggie: I'm sorry. So sorry. I was too busy nursing my old wounds, that I forgot to look at this gorgeous woman in front of me, and consider her feelings. You deserved all of this as a girl, the pomp and the fuss. And you deserve an amazing romance with a woman who is absolutely crazy about you.
Alex: Don't you hate all this?
Maggie: Alex, you're the one woman that could make me like Valentine's Day.

If those two sappy couples weren't enough to make our hearts melt, even Winn met someone who so far seems perfect for him. 

Lyra knows how to make an entrance, that's for sure. 

While Mon-El has a macho thing going on, Winn is comfortable in his own (human) skin. 

He doesn't feel threatened by a woman who's stronger than him or can take care of herself, and honestly, that's refreshing. 

Their meet-cute was all about her saving his butt in the bar from a couple of bullies, and the rest is history. 

They've both been hurt, though, so they're going to take it slow (insert eye roll here). 

There was no James again, but that was okay. It would have been hard to fit Guardian in with everything else that was going on. 

But, now that Winn has a potential new girlfriend, is that going to affect his ability to help James? He's already being spread thin between the DEO and Guardian duties. It's going to be hard to do all that and make time for Lyra. 

I also just want to add that I really enjoyed the music choices.

Jeremiah is returning on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 13. Are you guys excited to see him again? It doesn't look like it's going to be a completely happy homecoming. Tensions will be high, and there will most certainly be trust issues.
