Recap

At Hale's secret Hydra base, Coulson is being held captive while Hale experiments with the gravitonium, much to her daughter Ruby's displeasure.

When Hale has Carl Creel come into contact with the gravitonium, it attempts to absorb him and he begins experiencing visions of Dr. Franklin Hall, who had been absorbed by the gravitonium in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 Episode 3.

Creel goes to Coulson, who reveals that Talbot was tortured and broken by Hale. Creel decides to break Coulson out and they go and rescue Talbot together.

Talbot and Coulson use the alien teleportation device to escape the base while Creel buys them time by facing off against and increasingly uncontrollable Ruby.

Daisy and May go to find Robin, the young seer, to find out if she can help them find Coulson. At first, she seems unable to do so, but then she shows her bond with May.

She draws a picture of Coulson and Talbot in the wilderness by three mountains, where they teleported to.

Back at the Lighthouse, Simmons and Yo-Yo are convinced that they need to get ahead of Hale and that they need Fitz to help them on their mission. But Mack, left in charge in Daisy's absence, refuses to let him out of his cell.

Simmons and Yo-Yo trick Mack into getting locked in Fitz's cell (simultaneously letting Fitz out), and they head out on a quinjet to find the essential equipment they know Hale needs.

A coda flashback reveals Raina and Ian Quinn traveling with the gravitonium. Raina tells Quinn that the gravitonium "asked for" him, rather than the other way around, and it leaps out of its crate and absorbs him.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5 Episode 16 Quotes

Simmons: I’m going to prove I can’t be killed.
Mack: What, you too, Simmons? Do you know how all of this sounds?
Simmons: Like science?
Mack: No. Sounds like you’re detached from reality.

You know, you die more than anybody I’ve ever met.
