CeCe realizes she is dying and tells Daniel he needs to remarry after she is gone. Daniel doesn't want to talk about it, but does cry in private. Later, he decides to take her on a honeymoon for what is left of her life. He invites Sharon to a going-away party for her.

Meanwhile, Ben's condition is worsening and all the hospital can do is keep him comfortable. His breathing becomes labored and he needs to be intubated. He tells Maggie she is the closest thing he has to family, and that he wants to be buried with his parents in Florida.

Dr. Marcel runs up against an ethical dilemma when he and Dr. Choi arrange for each other's patients to donate kidneys to one another. Dr. Choi's patient dies and the patient's father withdraws consent for the mother to donate her kidney -- after Marcel has already removed it from her body. Without the new kidney, Marcel's patient will die too, but will he be able to perform the procedure?
