Kevin and Yvette are joined by one of her colleagues, Dave. He hopes to join the team and agrees to help them until they find the next righteous soul. 

The universe leads Kevin to a hardware store, where he runs into Kristin and her mother. He quickly realizes Ms. Allen is the one who needs help and he agrees to help her renovate her house. Soon after it is revealed that Ms. Allen has cancer and only has a few more months to live. She is refusing to go back into treatment and she and Kristin are at odds over it. 

After exacting revenge on an old student of hers, Kevin is able to show Kristin that her mother is happy with her choice. Ms. Allen dies shortly after and Kristin leans on Kevin for support. 

Elsewhere, Amy meets a man who helps her try to piece together how Kevin saved Reese from falling. He eventually asks her out on a date. 

After Kevin sees his vision, Yvette and Dave meet and Yvette decides it's time to give Dave a mission.
