Opens with a clips synopsis of the last twelve seasons that leads straight into Amy and Sheldon waiting to see if they've won a Nobel Prize.

Sheldon falls asleep and Leonard, Penny, and Amy argue over who gets to slap him awake. He wakes up before Leonard gets to slap him when Kripke prank calls them.

Howard and Bernadette check in just before Amy receives the call informing them that they've won. When Sheldon questions whether or not he's dreaming, Leonard slaps him.

Sheldon and Amy get lots of congratulatory texts from family. Outside their apartment building, they are rushed by a crowd of reporters. The crowd scares Sheldon back into the building, leaving Amy to handle the questions.

At the university, Raj, Howard, and Leonard discuss Leonard's slap. President Siebert arrives and asks them to describe Amy and Sheldon as "quirky" if asked by the press.

Sheldon and Amy get a round of applause when they arrive and Sheldon runs out of the room.

A reporter comes to interview Sheldon and he hides under his desk. Howard represents himself as Sheldon's best friend and does the interview for him.

Raj hears crying and finds Amy in the bathroom, upset about her picture being used on the Internet. Raj recommends a bit of a make-over and offers to help.

Bernadette questions Howard telling the reporter that he's Sheldon's best friend. Howard mentions the reporter is looking to talk to Amy's best friend, hinting Bernadette could get some exposure that way.

Sheldon is discussing with Leonard his unease with all the sudden changes when Raj brings Amy in after her makeover. She looks great but Sheldon wants her back the way she was because he's unhappy with more change.

Sheldon and Leonard discuss the changes in the hallway and Sheldon declares that he can't handle anymore change when Penny arrives by a working elevator. This pushes Sheldon over the edge. He runs down the stairs but Penny beats him to the bottom using the elevator. He says he needs to be alone but accepts when she offers him a ride.

Amy is regretting her make-over but Raj and Leonard convince her she deserves to feel good about herself.

Sheldon tells Penny the change is too hard for him to deal with. They discuss all the changes they both gone through since they met. When Howard and Bernadette appear on the TV talking about their best friends, Amy and Sheldon, both Penny and Sheldon order alcoholic drinks.

Raj, Amy, and Leonard decide they're all done accomodating Sheldon's idiosyncracies. When Leonard goes to get rid of one of Sheldon's molecular models, all the pieces fall apart.

When Penny and Sheldon return to the building, she suggests taking the elevator. He contemplates it and then she shoves him in and they ride it up.
