When a U.S. Senator is found on a compromising and lewd video, Fitz endorses Chip Putney to replace the disgraced politician. Chip is Abby's ex-husband. To help Abby, Olivia begins managing the campaign of Chip's opponent.

Leo Bergen takes a special interest in Abby while managing her ex-husband's campaign.

After hearing there is hope for their future, Fitz continues calling Olivia every night. She wants information about Jake and how he's being treated in Supermax. Mellie overhears them on the phone.

Quinn investigates the Winslow case to find out why Caitlin was killed over a folder of pictures of Olivia. Just before killing himself, Mr. Winslow tells Quinn that they "can't stop what's coming." Huck and Quinn make the decision not to tell Olivia about the folder since she has so much on her plate.

Olivia visits Tom in Supermax to get information about who ordered him to kill Jerry and instead she learns about Tom's devotion to Fitz. When Tom is attacked by a correctional officer, he confesses that Rowan was the one who ordered him to kill Jerry and not Jake.

After a bombing in West Angola, Cyrus leaks information about the President's strategy to Michael to determine if his lover is the leak. His suspicion is confirmed when Mellie speaks about more than China patterns during an interview.
